About the Alberta Association of Former MLAs

The Alberta Association of Former MLAs is an association created through Legislation in 2005, under the guidance of former Speaker Ken Kowalski. Together we continue to serve the public by supporting democratic process and institutions with a non-partisan approach. The Board consists of 17 people who collectively represent 4 different parties in the Legislature.

As a growing organization, we welcome new members and volunteers. Be sure to keep up to date with us by joining our Facebook Group!

Member Zones

Members have access to additional website pages that are not viewable by the public. These pages include a membership directory; subcommittee information; meeting minutes and financial statements; along with executive meeting dates. Work is progressing on a member only photo album.

Membership

Our practice is to correspond with previous MLAs that we have an email address to use. All are encouraged to become members to strengthen our voice and allow access to member only content.

Membership can be purchased through this website for $50. per year. Multi year memberships are also available by contacting linda@aafmla.ca.
